Moles Story-Telling/ Creative Writing Group: 2009

These are the stories, for what they are worth, that I have written so far for the Moles during 2009. During this year the group decided to change its name from "The Moles Story-Telling Group" to "The Moles Creative writing Group."

January 27thSylviaPersonal choice of theme Hope
This story is related to the "Turning of the Year" story I read in January 2008, and has a reference to the Christmas message in a manner reminiscent of J.R.R Tolkien's "The Debate of Finrod and Andreth." The story is told in meter, using the Pushkin sonnet which gives greater flexibility than the classical Petrarchan and Shakespearian sonnet forms.
February 24thRobertA story opening with: "It's about time ...." It's About Time
"Why couldn't time be a universal contant!" wonders young Zack Zimmerman. What actually did happen to him?
March 24thAnnA story opening with: "The electrical power stopped at ...." When All Electrical Power Stopped
At 6 pm in late November all electrical power had stopped, whether it came from the main grid, from batteries or from any other source.
April 28thPetaConspiracy Four Last Blogs
The four last entries in a personal web-log by someone obsessed by a universal conspiracy theory.
May 26thRayA story finishing with: ".... justice had been served." At Last True Justice Had Been Served
The acephalous iambic trimeter "Justice had been served" surely demands verse form! But May was a very busy month and I was not able to give the story as much time as I would have wished. However, I hope my trifle is not too bad.

Unexpected change
All Change
It's difficult to say where the inspiration for this story came from; it just seem to fall into place of its own accord!
July 28thWendyPersonal choice of theme The Blue Man
The opening sentence is due to Toms Deimonds Barvidis on the Conlang mailing list. The picture the sentence invoked intigued me, hence I wrote this story.
